Where Every Player Has a Place to Play

For many young athletes, hockey is more than a sport. It’s where they find friendships, confidence, purpose, and a team to call their own.

But not every high school player has the same opportunity.

What happens when your school doesn’t offer hockey?

What happens when there isn’t a high school hockey opportunity available to you?

What happens when you’ve played the game for years and suddenly have nowhere to continue?

That’s why Green Bay United Gryphons Hockey matters.

GBU gives eligible high school-aged players another opportunity to stay on the ice, continue developing, compete, and be part of a team.

A Different Kind of High School Hockey Program

Green Bay United Gryphons Hockey is a WAHA-sanctioned, 501(c)(3) nonprofit hockey organization serving eligible high school-aged players in Green Bay and surrounding communities.

We are not affiliated with or funded by a school district.

That independence helps create an opportunity for players who may not otherwise have a high school hockey team available to them but it also means we don’t have school funding supporting our program.

Our players, families, and community make GBU possible.

It Takes a Community to Keep Players on the Ice

Ice time. Officials. Jerseys. Equipment. League fees. Insurance. Games and other operating expenses.

It takes a lot to put a hockey team on the ice.

Our players and families contribute and fundraise throughout the season, but we also rely heavily on local businesses, sponsors, donors, and community partners.

Every contribution helps GBU continue providing local players with the opportunity to play, develop, compete, and belong.

You’re Supporting More Than Hockey

When you support GBU, you’re helping the player whose school doesn’t have a hockey team.

You’re helping the player searching for another opportunity to continue playing.

You’re helping a teenager find teammates, friendships, confidence, and a place where he belongs.

You’re giving a player a place to play.
