Green Bay United (GBU) is a WAHA-affiliated hockey organization that provides eligible high school-aged players and recent high school graduates with an opportunity to continue playing competitive hockey.
Our program brings together players from different schools and communities who share a passion for the game.
GBU competes primarily against other WAHA teams. Our program typically offers a longer season and more games than traditional high school hockey.
Our schedule also includes more travel, giving players opportunities to compete against teams from different communities and regions.
GBU welcomes eligible players in grades 9–12, as well as eligible recent high school graduates.
Players do not necessarily need to attend a Green Bay-area school. Participation depends on WAHA eligibility requirements, including age and geographic boundaries.
Yes. WAHA has established geographic territories for its hockey associations. However, not every WAHA association offers a U18 team. Many youth hockey programs end when players reach high school age.

Travel destinations vary each season based on available opponents and scheduling.

Parent involvement is an important part of GBU's success!
Families are expected to help with home game responsibilities, including operating the game clock, completing the scoresheet, managing music and staffing both penalty boxes.
While GBU does not have a required DIBS volunteer-hour program, we encourage all families to share in these responsibilities and support the team.
Fundraising is a big part of GBU! The more we raise together, the more we can help reduce player dues and keep hockey affordable for our families.
Our fundraising activities also provide opportunities for players and families to work together, support local businesses and give back to our community.
We encourage every family to get involved. Together, we can make a difference both on and off the ice!
